The surgery door is now open. Please wear a mask when entering the practice, unless you are exempt and remember to socially distance from others in the waiting area. We also ask everyone entering to sanitise their hands and sanitiser is available in the waiting area.
If you have healthcare concerns please do not hesitate to contact the surgery on 02890 457 862. The Medical Receptionist will ask for a few details to allow the GPs to prioritise issues and a call back from a GP will be arranged.
We have limited routine call back appointment slots and a number of urgent/emergency call back appointment slots each day. If you call requesting an emergency call back you must be prepared to give a short summary of what the healthcare problem is to the Medical Receptionist.
We would ask you to avoid coming to the surgery unless you are asked to by the team. The practice is closed from 1pm to 2.00pm to allow for deep cleaning of the practice premises due to Covid-19.
Please help by coming at the time of your appointment. If you're running late or for any reason can't make it on the day please let us know.
Our local GP OOH 'on-call' GP service is provided by SEBDOC at Knockbreda Centre. It provides care for people in Belfast when their normal GP surgery is closed.
The service operates weekdays from 6pm to 8am, at weekends and during bank holidays. It deals with urgent problems that cannot wait until the practice is available. If you need general medical help or advice when we are closed please call 02890 796220 (this service is not for life threatening medical emergencies)
When you call, the operator will take some details and pass them on to a doctor. The doctor or nurse will then phone you back to discuss your condition, and as needed will:
Hospital Admission
If you are admitted to hospital for treatment, before discharge, the ward doctor will give you a letter for your GP. The letter will explain to your GP any diagnosis and medicines you are now taking.
For urgent, life threatening medical emergencies, ring 999 without delay.
If your repeat medication is due for reorder over any of the dates detailed above, please make sure you place your order using our telephone or online service. Your prescription will then be collected by your preferred pharmacy from the surgery and dispensed in good time, to ensure you do not run out of your medicines when the surgery and your local pharmacy is closed. Remember to allow at least 2 working days from the date you place your order.
